The Blacklist with James Spader

Holy Crap!
1/2 hour into the pilot and this show really has potential!  Grabs your attention right off the bat.  It's got a little Silence of the Lambs vibe thing going on.  This just might be a keeper.

Looking forward to this. It's 10 pm pacific time, but I don't think I'll make it till 11, so: DVR.

I'll catch 20 mins. of "Sherlock" instead, and catch up tomorrow..

Full-on badass. Always loved Spader (no homo) and this show, at least the premier, plays out like a mini feature film. Intrigue, mystery and a hot chick ... like I say, badass.

Entertaining yet a painful stretch of the imagination. Will try it one more time.

I saw it last night. I enjoyed it a lot. My one main concern is the show might get boring since it appears each episode highlights a new enemy. I prefer shows where it is a recurring story line every episode. Fringe failed miserably for that reason (well, it failed to me even though it's been going on 5 seasons already)

I watched in the background as I worked.  A lot of it was wildly transparent... not exactly breaking bad smart... but then again, it's for NBC, so they have to have a heart-to-heart moment every few minutes to keep that audience watching, they gotta show enough cleavage/ass cheek getting ready to keep that 10:02 pm viewer watching.

predictable, transparent, but still more entertaining than 90% of the stuff on TV, so I'll catch it on replay when I can.  Are they putting it up against mon night football?  they always do that with decent shows.  That christian slater show about 2-sided was cool, ran on monday nights, doomed.

I think each week, they'll use the FBI to get intel, bombs, etc... and in the end, he'll betray them all with some cool attack plan of his own... some twist like "oh yeah, makes sense."   His buddy getting away with a chem bomb in episode 1... that'll have to come back later.

TV is reaching a dark age.  Dexter is done, BB is done and True Blood is done next year.  Fuck!

Still pretty good although I wouldn't lose sleep if I missed an episode.  The hand chop last night was  :-X :-X :-X  I wonder what his soft spot for Liz is all about.  His daughter perhaps?  3 episodes down, 6 to go.

it's a cool show.  I've watched 5 episodes so far.  It's good background tv on NBC replay while I work, nothing I'd stop and watch during mon night football :)

Got any theories on Reddington's relationship to Liz and what's the real deal with the husband?
