In need of advice.

He's a bit known in the industry, like in his mid 40's, looks younger, always in tip top shape (even Off season) been a Pro for over a decade...

Does not have health coverage , no sponsors, since this past summer he has applied for basically everything from Police,correctional officer,fire dept,etc....he  used to have a mini Supp store .... now is selling Supps from his parent's basement ...still has his own place but sadly, so far not doing so good with bills piling up. and in top of that feeling under the weather.....


What should he do ?

If he does not have any significant education, skills, or employment contacts then he is not a "professional" and he should stop clinging to that label; as his friend you should stop reinforcing it.  How long did he think this bodybuilding ride would last?  What exactly did he think it would lead to?  Telling this fellow what he should do next does not make sense because we have no information about what he really wants to do.  The applications you describe appear relatively random.  This thread looks all too familiar, and the last time it did not end well.

not even just contests.. if the guy's a 'pro', he should be able to market himself. Guest posings, appearances, lectures, seminars, training, endorsements.... attach his name/likeliness to products and companies (even local companies).

Rational choice theory, Casca Hipolito.* Perhaps choosing to become a bodybuilder was the most prudent, utility-maximizing decision for this middle-aged washout. Which, if true, says a lot more about his incapacities than promise.
