I just arrived home from my first HITT session, just to find out how the beginners routine (thanks to Flex Mag) feels like, and to check if the location (a small park, nearby the gym) was a good one.
Here's the routine:
3 minutes walking
8 times 30 second sprint, followed by 1 minute walking
30 second sprint
3 minutes walking
Total time 18.5 minutes.
I did the whole routine on grass, just to safe my joints. Damn I feel good now, even given the fact that it started raining
In order to lower my bodyfat to 9-10% (right now, I'm about 14-15%), I will perform a HITT session after each workout (4x/week).
What would be the best nutrition strategy, in order to burn fat without losing muscle mass?
Please critique my plan:
Pre-W.O., unflavored whey shake with some cacao.
Inner-W.O.(50-60 minute weight training), water with a dash (<5%) of unsweetened fruit juice.
Post-W.O., unflavored whey shake with some cacao.
<20 minute HITT training
Post-W.O., water with a dash (<5%) of unsweetened fruit juice.
30 minutes later, full meal (carbs, fats & protein)
