Fusion is the ultimate in power production.
My prayers go to the people of Japan - keep healthy and man the harpoons.

The envelope contained several secretive documents, all handwritten by the arch Mason "Eric Bon Tempi", which clearly described how to compose 4 hits and establish Japanese  Demonology throughout the western hemisphere via homosexually modulated soundwaves(aka "Project Pink Horizone")

you either burn trees, or charbon or use nuclear, nothing is free, and "pure" to generate electricity. And solar wind/water based generators have not been convincing enough so far ofr mass production. So yeah nuclear is still the best way, except when you build the fucking plants at dumb places or when you didnt plan to recycle the wastes.

Hydro-electric power is safe and carbon-burn free? Just run water through a dam wall? We did it in Zimbabwe and powered even the nations around us. Easy and safe.

but we have to step forward.

i mean nobody gives a shit about the japanese, but this shouldnt happen to us westeners ;D

the sahara desert alone not even fully fille dup with solar panels would produce enough electricity for the whole world.

sure,it would cost alot initialy(this is why such projects so far have failed),but after tha,itd be all maintenance.

the energy ressources market is very interesting indeed, the prices on the various goods are very volatile, and the usa is currently undergoign revolutionary progress, looks like within 5 years they wont need to import a single drop of oil from outside the american continent.

one day humanity if it doesnt of itself, will lok back and laugh at nuclear reactors

yeah even the wind thingies are good enough if theres enough wind.

a spaniard told me one of the canary islands is powered by nothing but those wind wills, but yeah they have plenty of wind.

then theres those underwater windwill, using the waves power to produce electricty.etc.

the pro nuclear lobby mostly bring up the price issue, lol, when they arent even the cheapest in the first place.

So you hate electricity?

I hate the concept of generating toxic waste and digging a hole and putting it in the ground or in water. Not sustainable or safe despite what lobbyists tell us.

So fucking stupid, just look what happens when less then uber-men are going to build and manage plants...

How much radioactive "toxic waste" is in the ground naturally?

Natural radioactive elements such as radon and uranium are nowhere near as dangerous as plutonium, iodine 131, cesium 137 or strontium 90.

That sea actually used to be called the Alive Sea.  Then it tried curling in Branch's squat rack...

I would consider supporting nuclear power if we shot it out to space, but I believe someone has done the math and it isn't lucrative enough so it will not happen.

But I'd prefer to strive against less waste above all. Nuclear is just an easy way out, like using oil. Not sustainable.

Once fusion is mastered,  it will be the answer to the earth's energy needs.   I look forward to the day the desert reclaims the middle east
