Dumpster divers are disgusting. We used to watch them dig through our trash while in college. They'd pick up anything. I once threw away a leather couch, but before I did, put syrup all over it. Second person who stopped took it. I kind of feel bad about that now, but it's still a nasty thing to do.

For my little nieces and nephews, garbage day... it's like they win the lottery every thursday haha.

free basketball hoop, bikes, nerf guns, you name it.   Kids outgrow stuff and move off to school.  they come home all the time with new toys... "We found a free yard sale!"

Had an uncle who used to work for a trash company years ago. He was always bringing home pretty decent stuff that people didn't want any more.

I own my home and i drive a 2007 s class mercedes benz and i train a lot of wealthy clients and make good money maybe if i see you on the street corner i will toss you a few dollars so you can buy a meal instead of eat leftovers that is thrown in the garbage.
