Maybe it's because I'm gay, but what I've noticed that really works on women is to ignore them. Whenever I go to bars with my hetero friends that are single, I notice that many single women get turned off by a man that poses no challenge for them, yet are intrigued by the man that looks at them as a waste of time.

There's an old saying that women are like shadows. Try to grab your shadow and it will prove to be an exercise in futility. Yet, the moment when you walk away from your shadow, it will follow you til the ends of the earth.
