Monstrous Getbigger Galeniko Votes to Smash Switzerland's Poor
« on: November 25, 2013, 02:38:11 PM »
Oh, what an abs-having capitalist oppressor!

"Swiss voters have rejected a proposal limiting the salaries of top executives. About two-thirds of voters said no to the Young Socialists' plan. The aim was to reduce the salary gap to a 1:12 ratio – in other words to limit the salaries of top executives based on the annual minimum wage of the lowest paid employee within the same company."

well, this is double edged sword.

first, there would have been many ways around for the managers to still get their wages anyway.

second, do you want the companies to be here and use the infrastructure and having no pay tax for first couple years granted, and get some employees income taxes in exchange.

what to do,when they bring over their emplyees, then leave the country , and leave the now unemployed ppl here as burden on the social system.

but it was just a little bit outcry about the very high earners, the low earning ppl wouldnt have gotten jack shit out of it.

some ppl actualy thought if this passes, the lowest incomes would be increased till they are 12 times lower than the director monster wage, lol.

if these companies go to other place, and theres plenty places which will welcome them with wide open legs, metaphoricaly speaking, then sub contractors lose their jobs etcetc, a chain reaction.

the young socialists are overly motivated and naive-dumb daydreamers who havent worked a day in their life, they are just bit overwhelmed bc they  read marx first time and believe in it.kinda like the ayn rand readers who feel empowered and understood when they read her work.

the both group of ppl are naive.you dont overthrow a whole system, you try to better the existing one.

in a globalised world and economy, this referendum was a pipe dream.rich kids coming from rich houses ,those young socialists, daydreaming.
these assholes should go and try work a bit on construction site or mcdonalds dfor minimum wage.

unions are kinda ok, but this goes too far, and is only self honest, why 12:1? why not go all the way and say 1:1 wages?

its very simple to understand, the big companies make products which are popular to the buyers and reward themselves wages.if nobody bought the products, the companies go bust.

that said, under some provisions, i wouldnt have a problem if banking and medical care jobs all were run by govt.

the swiss know full well where their relative average wealth comes from and how "wealthy" they been before ww2.

i am the 1% ;D

nah, i dont care much about either, the current system, or full out communist system, can adapt to either if need be.

what i dont like is who brought up the referendum.

they earn 6figure salaries.theyre detasched fom reality.

poor in switzerland doesnt really exist, all things considered.

yah i do feel bad about the bangladeshi and chinese kids making our clothes, yah its atrocious a jacket made there sells here for 300usd.

the world is far from a fair and cushy place, but if they hadnt these jobs, theyd be eating dirt.

comes down to education when its all said and done.
