You needed a phono cartridge that is extremely compliant in order to play them.  So not many people outside of dance/rap would know about 12 inch singles.

Rapper's Delight - I know absolutely noting about music but I gotta admit that Rapper's Delight has been my number one favorite song of all time.

I even attempted to memorize the lyrics and the style but failed miserably even though I still try to accomplish it once or twice each year.

I gotta check to see if the Suger Hill Gang is still recording ... which I seriously doubt.

This small dude attacked me with a knife in middle school once I took it from him and threw it away and choked him until he said no more. He was a small bully with a problem he later got killed by another bully shot. I was never a bully but just tall and muscular. Jealousy rains supreme.
