As a guy that lost more than half of my family in the ovens at Birkenau, I would hardly call myself a Hitler sympathizer.

The Soviets abandoned the Germans when the writing was on the wall. If that writing never appears: no Stalingrad, no 40 divisions of T-34s staring at Berlin. Invading the USA isn't that realistic after Europe, but to think that the result in WWII was a foregone conclusion seems odd.

Ironically there was an article out just today discussing how the rise of china's military has been largely fueled by European and specifically german technology.  Said the germans were the undisputed world leaders in designing submarine engines as well as various other aspects of military engineering.

Germany has long been among the worlds top 3 exporters, despite its relatively small size. The reason is because german engineering, design and quality of build have always been respected and acknowledged as among the best in the world.
