how he perceives himself in the world and how the world perceives him are two totally different things.

complete detachment from reality. usually kids grow out of it, vince's seems to have gotten worse with age.

when people go through a childhood trauma (such as molestation, or drug use) their emotional development stops... so it seems Vince was most likely molested when he was 10 yrs old. probably by a family member, and uncle or father. so what you end up with is an 80 yr old man who's lived his entire life with the emotional maturity of a 10yr old boy. hence his lifetime of failed relationships.

What? I can't even get my gym to fix equipment that has been sitting idle for months. I actually had to bring my own duck tape to hold a pin in place that adjust the chest fly because the spring broke. I even have to bring my own weight pins and hooks because they are always missing from the weight stack and cables. It's the only gym in my area so there's no competition. Anybody who doubts the efficacy of free market capitalism and it's competitive nature need only look at businesses that can operate without competition (the government being a prime example).

Definitely not an Aussie expression. Came from a Yugoslavian bodybuilder competing in Sydney. He used to do handstands in his routines. When asked why he said he wanted to show people that bodybuilders were not muscle bound. Every contest after that people yelled out "handstand" and Jehova would do it and everyone laughed. The Aussies encourage such people. When I talked to him one day he said, "What you?" Hard to translate but what about you, what have you done, etc. I have a few people who laugh when I say it because it can make heaps of things amusing.
