I disagree. People can have an opinion about him without being part of a clique. That there are cliques on here who share opinions about certain posters goes without saying. It doesn't mean people who may agree with them are part of their social ensemble.
No one can know what motivates the guy besides him, obviously. But based on his online behavior, it's fair to draw the conclusion he likes negative attention and has personal issues. Anything else is speculation. So my post was entirely valid. That you consider him a friend or someone you tolerate on here doesn't invalidate people who don't share that opinion. I'm sure you agree that we're all free to say what we feel about people, whether right or wrong.
I agree with the first line
and I agree with the premise of your argument about the rights of people to formulate their own opinions
however, there are multiple posters now sticking the knife into him
I suggest there is an element of band wagon jumping
and that people are basing their opinions on him simply on reading his narrative on here
my opinion is based on talking to him in real life where he comes across as a nice guy
and I stick by the argument that his donation no matter what the agenda was, was an act of kindness
