American Idol got hate after their years of putting on HORRIBLE singers and mocking them for the first week of the show. That used to be the only part of the season I'd watch. Then people starting bullying/suicide, I believe, and they halted that.
THIS allows them to show a total spaz, and since he's not handicapped - probably only just a 90 IQ hillbilly - it's cool to put it on. I'm sure he did this exact act in the pre-lims in his local town.
And honestly, this video is the ONLY thing I'll remember from whatever season this is of X-Factor... and I'm a singer lol... I sing 20 songs a night, 3 nights a week... and shows about singing are, eh... So I think they got what they wanted here.
