15 minutes of walking and 5 on the spinning bike. Cardio is fvking boring but I need a little bit to prevent knee pain while putting on weight.

I don't think that counts as cardio.

If it does, I did cardio at various times yesterday - getting from my car to the TD Bank garden, going down the street to talk to a neighbor and 30  sets:  walked from PC to kitchen and back.

Agreed. Very liberal usage of the word cardio in this thread.

I had a solid week of running last week, clocked up around 60 miles

20 minutes is fine for my goals. I'm not fat, on a diet, competing, or doing any kind of sport.

I own a spinning bike and can ride quite a while if reading.

8:30 and I got sick of lack of exercise, so did quick 30 minutes of cardio on treadmill.

1 mile run in 7:30

24 sets of 1 minute each 10 secs rest

Sprint  @ 10 mph / some ab / plank / hang or hold

Gets me 2 six minute miles broken up by the ab stuff.

Can't spend that kind of time on a spin bike without a book.

Was given a CycleOps. Love the freakig thing but haven't ridden at home lately. The Gym's Johnny Gs are great for few minutes of cardio after walking.

No cardio benefit, IMO.

I've learned (through trial and error) that a little walking stops knee pain when I'm putting on muscle.

Body fat is okay-ish, not competing, or on a diet. I'm more on the lifestyle side of things with working out 5x/week, being reasonable with food, and taking care of myself.

No more crazy deadlifts or squatting until exhaustion. And let's face it... my legs never looked great, anyways. :)

Tried the first workout in an Army Ranger training program...there's 5 a week, so fuck that...but tried the first one just to mix it up:

Warmup

1/2 mile in 3:00

Walk 3:00

1/2 mile in 3:20

Walk 2:00

8 sets 1/4 mile sprints @ 10 mph (1:30) followed by 2:00 walk between  (with the above is 3, six minute miles broken up)

Max Push up in 2 min (this was a BITCH after running)

2:00 rest

Max Sit up in 2 min

2:00 rest

Max Push up in 1 min
Max sit up in 1 min

2 mile ruck with 38lb

Didn't have time:

10 sets of Hex DL x 2 - 1 min rest between

10 consecutive giants sets, no rest:

Jumping Jack x 10
Squat x 20
Pull up x 5

4 1/4 mile repeats @ 10 mph (6 min mile)

Shoulder circuits...


Day 2 of the ranger shit called for SIX sub 3 min 1/2 miles, with the giant set circuit, then some other shit.......will try it later this week.
