260 offseason you dolt.

http://www.gmv.com.au/default.asp?pageid=products&template=PRODUCTCAT&catid=8&prodid=177&site=1

Priest at 250....but on THIS FORUM priest said he was 270 in that pic.

Who's ignorant now ?
LOL LOL

That Italian site is far from reliable considering Arnold rarely officially did a weigh in. It's an estimate from someone who's not even famiar with what "pounds" are.

Lee Priest likely fabricates his weight alot along with his height. If he is 5'4"..and i'm being generous to him...He might be 250 in that picture.."MIGHT".

The fact is..It's irrelevant. You claimed that "Real bodybuilders" are 250-300lbs..This is absurd as I can list DOZENS of Pro's who aren't even 250 in the offseason...Not even mentioning NON PRO bodybuilders who usually weigh less than 200lbs.
Pro's make up less than 1% of Bodybuilders. And not even most male Pro bodybuilders are over 250lbs.

The fact is...250-300lbs is the UPPER LIMITS of what pro bodybuilders usually weigh even in the offseason. A VERY SMALL FRACTION of Pro's weigh 300lbs in the offseason.

Pro's under 250 in the offseason...Or under 200 during competion time.

Dexter Jackson --Off Season Weight:  230-235 pounds

Shawn Ray   --Off Season Weight:  230 lbs.

Ken 'Flex' Wheeler Off Season Weight:   Around 247lbs.

Frank Zane --Competition Weight:  180 lbs.

Bill Davey --Off Season Weight:  225 to 230 lbs

Porter Cottrell -- Weight:  194

http://www.bodybuilders.com/pros.htm

I guess Frank Zane isn't a "Real Bodybuilder" ::)

This is just naming a few...And these are PRO'S meaning the top 1% of all Bodybuilders.

The claim that "Real bodybuilders weigh 250-300" is Absurd and Refuted.

Who's Ignorant now? YOU! And you've just been refuted AGAIN.

Boy you must really be hard up for evidence if you can only come up with one current bodybuilder.  Than you have to go into the 90's and even the 70's.  Saying that most current pros don't hover around the 250 mark (with exeption to smaller bodybuilders such as Dex, Dave Henry, Lee, etc.) isn't ignorant, it's just simply naive.  You ask for proof.  Where is your proof?  So far it's all been a matter of opinion.  At least other people have been quoting resources.

I have read all of the post on the past 8 pages. Apollo makes some good points and provides facts/links. As do the other posters.

Maybe Shawn, Lee or Chick can provide some insight?

Alot of Pro's do hover around the 250 mark. So what? His claim wasn't "Most pro bodybuilders are above 250lbs" his claim was "Most Bodybuilders are above 250lbs" which I have refuted. I can go back into the 40's if I want to point out he's full of shit since he didn't say "Most modern pro's are above 250lbs" He said "MOST BODYBUILDERS ARE ABOVE 250LBS" As in Past Pro's,Modern Pro's,Past non Pro's,Modern non Pro's.

No one else has posted a single source supporting their facts. They have posted "resources" but i've explained how none of them support what they are even claiming but actually agree with me.

Posting of those corny captioned images went out of style years ago...And even then it was reserved for 13 year olds.

I paid you a compliment and you question my intelligence. My point was is both sides have valid point and can/have provided data to back it up. With that said an outsider looking it would find the wealth of information ambiguous.

Arnold's self reported stats at his heaviest competition weight were:

http://www.bodybuildingpro.com/arnoldschwarzenegger.html

Height: 6'2

Off Season Weight: 250 lbs.

Competition Weight: 235 lbs.

Chest: 57"

Arms: 21"

Thighs: 27"

Calves: 20"

Waist: 34"

I even saw the arms go up to 22 inches and the waist go down to 33 inches!  Kind of like how Leroy Colbert's arms kept getting bigger in the ads lol!

I would say you can take a few inches and a few pounds off anything Arnold claimed.

I still think 235 is low.

The arms are not 22? come on they're insanely big.
