you are retarded yes in boxing Ali is the greatest heavyweight of all time but Sugar Ray Robinson is the greatest boxer pound for pound and everyone agrees now since you have the internet look it up he was beat bad by a jap wrestler there is no disputing it this is on record. The karate guy was televised on ABC sports and yes Ali did hurt him but karate is not grappling big difference so look up your facts fag boy

Ali could woop any of your ufc homos! Everytime I watch them I shake my head in disgust. Why man on man action is so popular with dwarfs like you... always leaves me wondering.   Undecided

ok a grown man told me dont argue with fools cause people from a distance cant tell who is who and you are a fool it is on record for the last tome Ali was beat up by the jap wrestler who did not throw punches and knew limited submissions ask yourself this how does a boxer bow while he is on the ground? He cant so now boxing becomes useless like you with two chicks anyways since you are to scared to look it up believe me Ali got beat up by that jap case closed your now owned by every fan of mma b i t c h ass n i g g a

I used to be one of the biggest Muhammad Ali fans ever.  I considered him the best boxer of all-time, but our allegiances often gravitate to our contemporaries.  Lately, watching on ESPN classic some of his matches, he looks more and more human.  Contrasted to Tyson who pulverized his opponents early and ruthlessly, Ali tended to wear out his opponents.  He might have had wonderful boxing skills, but I would have a tough time considering him the best ever.

Here the info for ya

ďNow Herbert [Muhammad, Aliís manager] came to me and he said these Japanese people have come to him with all kinds of money to go over and fight this wrestler, Inoki, in Japan,Ē says Bob Arum, who promoted the exhibition. While Arum has promoted some of the biggest fights in boxing history, he has also promoted other extravaganzas, most notably Evel Knievelís attempt to jump the Snake Canyon in a rocket car.
Aliís handlers began putting the fight together in April of 1975, when Ali met Ichiro Yada, the then-president of the Japan Amateur Wrestling Association, at a party in the United States. Ali asked Yada, ďIsnít there any Oriental fighter to challenge me? Iíll give him one million dollars if he wins.Ē Ali was probably joking but Yada brought his comment back to the Japanese press. When Inoki read Aliís words, he relentlessly pursued a match, finally getting him to sign a deal in March of 1976.

The money was without a doubt great: $6 million for Ali, $4 million for Inoki. And the bout seemed like it would be nothing more than fun, entertaining fare. As Arum put it, ďProfessional wrestlers are performers. The thing is a fraud.Ē

However, Inoki had not planned to put on a show. To him and his manager, it was a serious fight between a boxer and a wrestler. According to Pacheco, ďAliís fight in Tokyo was basically a Bob Arum thought up scam that was going to be Ďha-ha, ho-ho. Weíre going to go over there. Itís going to be orchestrated. Itís going to be a lot of fun and itís just a joke.í And when we got over there, we found out no one was laughing.Ē

Inoki spent much of the fight on the ground trying to damage Aliís legs. Ali spent most of the fight dodging the kicks by stepping out of the way or staying on the ropes. Occasionally, Inokiís boot would connect. By the third round, a wound had appeared on Aliís left knee.

But Ali never knocked out anyone again, and his fight with Norton in September of 1976 is when sports writers and fans began to insist that he retire.

Good job Alex Ali had to go to the hospital to get a blood transfusion and the jap said Ali knew it was a real fight but Ali only claims it was fake because he was so badly hurt. Now I do love Ali but a boxing champ could not beat a mma champ in same weight division

I would hardly qualify as expert to rate the best ever, but think George Foreman would have pretty good idea: By way of launching 10,000 tiffs in bars across the country, Big George rates Joe Louis, Rocky Marciano, Lewis, Tyson, John L Sullivan and Jack Dempsey above Ali.

he goes on: Joe Louis was so far and away the greatest that it is almost an insult to rank anyone second to him," says Foreman. "He was the pure heavyweight. A machine whose timing of the knockout punch was sweet perfection."

I am kinda surprised to hear him say Louis was far and away the greatest when he appeared to struggle with Ali.  It is so hard to rate boxers from different eras.

What you talking about? The japanese fighter was on the ground on his ass! There was no fight cause he was scared to get up. He was scared Ali would punch him so he was on the ground the whole time like a little puss!  Undecided

That is what Ali s handlers said trust me I have seen video yes he was on the ground some of the time but he was kicking the shit out of Ali's legs and Ali just stood there and did not know what to do so he had to get a blood transfusion so no matter how you look at it the jap walked away untouched and Ali was in the hospital so in a street fight is the winner not the one who walks away not the one in the hospital? Go get into a street fight with a mma guy and see who wins while you are on the ground

what is a cheap shot in a fight except a blindside or a shot to the balls in a fight you do what you have to to win if you are getting your ass kicked you wont do what you have to so your safety is not in jeopardy? You and me and everyone on this thread will do whatever it takes to win. This was not a boxing match it was a fight and ALI ended up in the hospital period the jap was at home watching jap porn while Ali had tubes of blood going in him
