Crowded vs empty gym
« on: April 03, 2014, 11:57:36 AM »
Do you prefer to train in the gym when its crowded or when its empty, in a crowded gym you have to wait your turn when someone is using the weights and this slows your workout but at the same time you get a vibe and energy from the crowd, all the hot girls and people stopping and staring impressed when you are pushing heavy weights.

When nobody is in the gym you have all the weights for yourself but its not the same energy or vibe and no hot girls to raise your test levels and nobody to be impressed with your heavy weights.

Empty if only for the lack of waiting around.
I dont take much notice whos in the gym when Im there.
Im in and out, I nod to around 8 people and talk to 4.

Depends what I'm training. If it's legs you're usually fine no matter what day. Arm day you use dumbells that are popular (I do curls, twinks do dumbell presses) and cables are busy all the time.

Meh, I'd still go for crowded as long as I get a parking space.

Good question.

I prefer late at night when it's empty and late morning when there is mostly old people who stay off the stuff I use but just enough cardio bunnies to get a little test boost from.  :D

Least favorite time is after work crowd around 6pm. Way too many people you have to wait to use anything.

I prefer a crowded gym to train myself in.. has a tendency to turn my working sets into 315/365lbs rather than 275/305, knowing that people are staring.

training clients though, I prefer an empty gym, as clients don't feel so self conscience, and they pay attention to instruction a lil better.

lol @ 'meltdown'. I'm convinced you're some 20yr old kid who's life revolves around the internet.

what kind of loser uses the term 'meltdown'? lol... I bet "owned" is in your daily vocabulary as well.

... and what do you care what I look like? you 'really want ot believe... hulking monster..." ect... what went wrong with your childhood?

getbig strikes me as a place full of socially inept shut-ins, so I would expect an empty gym to be more in favor here

Meltdown is a phrase used on the internet, it isnt used in real life.
Its used where a poster has no where else to go logically so throws a hissy fit.

I dont really care what you look like, in fact I know you dont look anything like what 6gms of gear should make you look like.

You carry on throwing good money after bad chasing mediocrity.
