IN this news story, the mom has driven them into a lake.  

They are sinking under the water and using their mobile phones to call for help.

A dude in his 40's swims out and says KICK THE WINDOW out - which they do, and this saves their lives.

If he had not said USE YOUR LIMBS to get out, they would have drowned watching their ipad screens.

Father of retards:

He said his two sons in the van were simultaneously trying to call 911, but one was cut off when the phone got wet.

Rescuer of retards:

"I couldn't get the window open because the window in the van was not a pop-out window," Taylor told the Philadelphia NBC affiliate. "So I kept telling the young lady to kick the window out and she kicked it out."
