and if so, what do you eat


at my former jobs i always brought chicken and rice and it caused people to mock me and label me as a dumb meat head


not want to make this mistake again at my new work

I eat chicken and rice and broccoli at work all the time. Nobody mocks me at all. There might be other reasons for that, tho...

Current job have either chicken and rice or bring shakes if too busy. No microwave and often no time to eat much.

When I was working in court (barrister and judicial fellow) it was a lot harder. You can't even bring your own water into court room  ::)

I'd grab a sandwich or lunch with client/other lawyers in a nearby restaurant. After 4pm I could eat what and where I wanted. Needless to say I missed a lot of training and got fatter working there. Going back soon but know what to avoid.

Look into "If it fits your macros" and pack your lunches accordingly.

Chicken and rice:

40g protein
50g carbs
15g fat

Delicious home made cheesy lasagna:

40g protein
50g carbs
15g fat

Home made cheeseburger:

40g protein
50g carbs
15g fat

No reason to eat boring food ever...Pretty easy choice to me...If it fits your macros.

I never ever got that. People would be curious, that's all.

I take protein shakes and chicken/rice meals into work with me every day.

The chicken and rice nobody seems to bother or ask about it, lots of other people bring in food in tupperware, salads and the like, so it's seen as pretty normal.

The protein shakes on the other hand, and the occasional MRP seem to bring out the curiosity, ignorance, and sometimes downright stupidity in some people.

Guy at work (untrained, unhealthy, typical poorly-dressed twink) came up to me once as I was necking my 40g of very tasteful strawberry-flavoured whey and proceeded to lecture me that I would eventually suffer liver failure if I drank too much of "those shakes". Another one (female) told me that her brother "used to" drink protein shakes, he was "bigger" me, but now isn't big anymore because he "had a heart attack which was caused by all the protein". She then went outside for a cigarette.

I don't eat at work, so no issue there.

EDIT - not actually true, we have waiter.com so I get whatever's on the menu if I'm working late. No one gives a fuck what you eat.

I just eat chicken at work, Im normally in the office with a couple of people at the time and they couldnt give a fuck.

What job do you work that you can go a shift without food?

Least hours I've had in a shift is four, some jobs I've worked 14-20 hours/day. Can't see myself not eating through that unless I was coked up.

Several times a year, we have catered meals. I always make sure that we get chicken and beef kebabs from a local Greek place and then I gorge myself on skewered chicken. Mmmm. There are other folks like me and nobody pays us any mind.

 I'm a software developer so I have flexible hours depending on my workload that day (I can take a 2 hour lunch break to go to the gym some days, no break for 12+ hours straight on other days)

also, Intermittent Fasting. I go from 9am to 8pm without food usually. Then if I'm still here I eat the free food, otherwise I go home and eat there
