$27k for a wedding?

$27k to be with a woman?

You could buy this rose gold Daytona for 27k instead. Will always look good on your arm, lasts a life time, will always be reliable, never nags you and the day you no longer want it, you'll get 27k back into your account and get to keep your house  :P

Im a Tag Heuer guy! does that make me sec. class roller? In my life time I got 2 and I must say I love those more then any other watch. I love nice watches and guitars!

I have a Tag myself ;-) its my everyday watch...haven't got my hands on a rolex yet as I don't want to join the submariner crew.

Do you usually attend weddings you are invited to? I am supposed to go to one tomorrow but I can't really see any benefit

Its usually a women thing. I am sure most men do not care where they get married. If I ever get married, Id be happy eloping to get married. I dont need a big, fancy wedding. As I said, its usually the lady who wants a big wedding.

So did you elope with Rory?

Hi Dan, just like you I see no benefit. I stopped going to weddings (non close family) a long time ago. I won't ever be getting married, so at this point I'm basically just giving everyone a bunch of gifts and money. Fuck em

I find the people who get divorced pretty quickly who don’t return the money dishonest.

I only paid some of it.
The bride's family paid most.
It was pretty amazing.

I feel selfish for taking this position, but I find it kind of offensive they are doing 2 wedding parties. One for civil and one for church. What the fuck, they think people should sacrifice 2 days for their exercise in vanity of vanity?

You mean overspending on weddings or weddings in general?

Lavish weddings are a status symbol for people.
A young couple will go into debt paying for their wedding.
Famous people spend $millions on weddings.
How about a big mansion with 10 bathrooms and 8 bedrooms and 20,000 sqft for two people?  Ego.
Bill Gates has a $600 million dollar yacht built and never steps foot on it.  Ego.
Guy lives in a shitty apartment but leases an $80,000 pickup truck or Tesla.  Ego.
All degrees of the same ego driven behavior.

Yes I really dont regret having a "cheap" wedding. It didn't feel cheap either, just reasonable and got the job done. After all the true purpose is more of a symbolic nature.

My son's wedding was so over the top that people were talking about it afterwards in the town hall of my wife's hometown 350 miles away.
We had nothing to do with planning it.
The bride's family is well to do.

It is a scam industry. The same items cost 2x - 3x the price because wimmens go crazy about weddings.

Trainers should market some sort of 90-day wedding shape up ploy. They'd make a killing.

Yes, it was insane. My cousin makes a lot of money and her husbands family has money.
