Maz Kanata is this female alien who was a pirate. She may have Force powers. Supposedly, there is a scene where she conducts a flashback/vision using her powers. This is when we first see Luke Skywalker.

He is in the vision, not the room.

It seem that she knows Han, Leia and possibly Luke.

The character is being played by Lupita Nyong'o. That's the girl from 12 Years a Slave.

But she will be all Mo-cap/CGI. The little picture is from the Official Poster.

Oh, and she is in the second teaser. She hands Luke's lightsaber to Leia.

New commercials.

This is the second commercial (Commercial #2). It's cool, but it has no new footage. Well, I take that back. We hear BB-8 beep and Chewbacca roar.

This is the commercial from last night on ABC shown during Grey's Anatomy. Remember, Disney Corp. owns ABC. There were hyping it with the show's cast. It is a minute long, but everyone seems to be calling it a commercial and not a trailer. So I'll call it Commercial #3.

A new UK preview is very similar to the US preview from Disney channel last night.

Abrams now saying this is a new franchise for a new generation. So basically the chick and the Hebrew. I can see this movie making a lot of money since its nostalgic and people want to forget about the horrible episodes 1-3 but episode 8 will bomb if they continue to push this PC bullshit. The other three new characters are a black women from the comedy 12 years a slave and the tall chick from Game of thrones and some Latino guy. So the future of star wars is 3 chicks, 2 Hebrews and a spic. have fun with this PC fuck up.

I did mention that 1-3 were abysmal. Darth Vader should have been a dark haired mean little kid, but making him out to be a bowl cut cute kid to that effeminate kid who played him as a teen was horrific.

If he's mean, what is there to redeem?

Anakin had to start out as a good kid... with some repressed anger.

Whatever mistakes Lucas made, the character does have that.

He is angry about having no father (the mother can't explain it to him), being a slave, and seeing his mother as a slave.
