Tripping a player in the box is not a foul?

<--- was unaware there were more rules, other than "no touching the ball with your hands"  ???  lol

In order to commit a clean tackle, you need to make contact with the ball before the man. For a foul to be committed, the contact is made with the player before it's made with the ball (ie. deliberate tripping). Only problem is that it's now led to the diving/flopping element.
Certain type of tackles are also banned such as two footed lunges.

Hoping for Switzerland to win, doubt it though. Argentina should win.

Belgium beat USA by a few goals last year but they've looked decidedly shitter than the sum of their parts here. Will be a close game but think Belgium will get through.

Girlfriend was out and about at stadium where Argentina match is on yesterday. Said all locals wearing red to support Switzerland and red flags everywhere  ;D

Slow start for USA, nearly gave up a goal in the first 45 seconds.

Belgium should bring on Janusaj (not sure how it's spelled), he would come in from wide which is where USA struggle. No problem with that donkey Fellaini in the midfield.

Belgium just ran the same attack again and we still weren't ready for it.

They went close after Belgium had a few attempts, volley went into a few bodies could have gone anywhere.

USA are weaker team individually, they have to defend and hope to score from a set piece or counter-attacking.

If Belgium win it will be first time all 8 group winners have qualified for QFs.

Belgium should have had 4 goals by now, terrible finishing. Lukaku was so shit in group games that they don't trust him now.

This match is fairly gash. Belgium couldn't score in a brothel with a $100 bill.

That was only when it was 38C and humidity was ridiculous at lunch time in the jungle.

Noticed there are no breaks for advertising or timeouts or constant breaks in play like US sports?

Chose a bad day. Switzerland and USA just defended for their lives. I would link a good match like Liverpool v Man City where both teams are open and attack but you wouldn't watch so what's the point?  ;D

Chile v Brazil was good and Brazil v Columbia on Friday should be a great match.
