Dennis was the reason why i started bodybuilding. he was on some old cover and i thought his arms looked superhuman like. they said then that the leukemia came from gh use but that sounds like bs. back then they did not use like today and even if he did it would not have matterd. totally sucked he could not continue. he must have been very young. imagine 10 more years on this guy...

Newman had what was in my eyes the physique I wanted. looked healthy. not ungodly big but for a white guy about as good as it got. like you'd look at him and think that is alllllmost achievable for me, you know? like it's a look that didn't scream drugs, so maybe I had a shot. lol
and 20 years later I'm still chasing it. eventhough I realised early on I'll never look like Dennis, I could do the best with what god has dealt me genetically.
and really at the end of the day that's what it's all about. not being better than this guy or that guy, cause there is always someone better than you, or trying to look like this guy or that guy, cause your genetics determine that, but just maximizing and realising your own potential, whatever that might be for you.
