Yep....celebrities versions of broke are different than ours.  People consider Lindsey Lohan broke but she has plenty of money

You probably ate dirt as a kid didn't you....

My buddy was friends with a guy who worked as a bodyguard for A.I. when he came to Miami to play the Heat. He said he would have parties that were like Porn shoots.

Sad. This is a 30 for 30 episode in the making.

Nothing sad about a man who blew through 200 million irresponsibly.   Disappointing is a better way to put it.

Allen Iverson ‘Seen Begging for Change Outside Atlanta’s Lenox Mall’ Article Not RealBy Jack Phillips, Epoch Times | August 18, 2014
Last Updated: August 20, 2014 12:04 amFeedback
An article saying Allen Iverson, the ex-Philadelphia 76ers great, was spotted "begging for change outside [of] Atlanta's Lenox Mall" is fake. Former Philadelphia 76ers basketball player Allen Iverson smiles during a news conference Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2013, in Philadelphia. Iverson officially retired from the NBA, ending a 15-year career during which he won the 2001 MVP award and four scoring titles. An article saying Allen Iverson, the ex-Philadelphia 76ers great, was spotted “begging for change outside [of] Atlanta’s Lenox Mall” is fake.

The bogus report was posted on The News Nerd, a self-described “satirical” website.

“Troubled former NBA basketball player Allen Iverson was seen begging for change outside of Lenox Mall in Atlanta. Several mall patrons reported a man with a disheveled appearance harassing them for change,” it reads. “When security arrived, they were shocked to see it was none other than basketball legend Allen Iverson. Iverson was asked to leave the premises by mall security.”

According to a disclaimer, the website doesn’t post real news and shouldn’t be taken seriously. “The stories posted on TheNewsNerd are for entertainment purposes only. The stories may mimic articles found in the headlines, but rest assured they are purely satirical,” it says at the bottom of each page.

A number of people apparently believed the Iverson hoax. It was shared widely on Facebook–with thousands of “likes.”

“This is so sad and hard to take in. He has always been my favorite player and idol. What happened? Someone needs to help him get back on his feet. Why doesn’t the 76′ers help him. They have plenty of money! My heart goes out to him,” one person wrote in the News Nerd’s comments section

A black man takes a girl home from a nightclub.
She says "Show me it's true what they say about black men".
So he stabs her and takes her purse.

A black woman was filling out forms at the welfare office. Under "Number of children," she wrote "10," and where it said "List names of children," she wrote "Leroy." When she handed in the form, the woman behind the desk pointed out: "Now here where it says "List names of children," you're supposed to write the names of each one of your children." "Dey all named Leroy," said the black woman. "That's very unusual. When you call them, how do they know which one you want?" asked the welfare worker. "Oh, den I uses the last names."

He should've read this article which I've posted, here, numerous times.

That what Iverson gets for not being a Getbigger:

How (and Why) Athletes Go Broke
by PABLO S. TORRE

• By the time they have been retired for two years, 78% of former NFL players have gone bankrupt or are under financial stress because of joblessness or divorce.

• Within five years of retirement, an estimated 60% of former NBA players are broke.

• Numerous retired MLB players have been similarly ruined, and the current economic crisis is taking a toll on some active players as well. Last month 10 current and former big leaguers--including outfielders Johnny Damon of the Yankees and Jacoby Ellsbury of the Red Sox and pitchers Mike Pelfrey of the Mets and Scott Eyre of the Phillies--discovered that at least some of their money is tied up in the $8 billion fraud allegedly perpetrated by Texas financier Robert Allen Stanford. Pelfrey told the New York Post that 99% of his fortune is frozen; Eyre admitted last month that he was broke, and the team quickly agreed to advance a portion of his $2 million salary.

I swear some of you clowns just pull shit out of thin air.

"Allen Iverson fell on hard times when his basketball career abruptly ended. Though the 76ers legend is currently bankrupt, he does have a $30 million trust with Reebok, which he cannot access until he is 55-years-old."

He has probably leverage against all of that $30 million.  Creditors are probably waiting for him to get it to claim it back.

There is a half-way house in my town that makes all the ex-drug head dindus sell loaves of bread.

They sneak up on you in parking lots if they see you parking, or they follow you, and your buggy full of goods, to your vehicle.

Heard a story about how he travelled without suitcases.  Wherever he went he'd just stop at a store and buy clothes and shit then leave them behind.  What a smart way to blow through money.

Former NBA MVP & multi-millionaire Allen Iverson was caught begging for spare change outside of Lenox Mall in Atlanta.

“I don’t even have money for a cheeseburger,” said Iverson.

Nope...Allen Iverson is far from broke.  He was lucky to have a friend look out for him in setting him up with a sealed account of 45 million dollars that he cannot touch until he turns 55.  In the meantime, he gets 1 million a year off the interest.  In addition, he'll start getting his NBA pension to which when he turns 45, he can get about 8k a month.

No way.  Iverson made $154 million in salary alone in his career.

He's probably just fronting like he's broke to keep his own money from getting spent up.

you never heard of a broke American sports star hebrew before? There are more than you can count on two hands

the first thing he will do when the cash starts flowing again , if he is still alive, is throw himself a million dollar celebratory party
