This never gets old. A young and very thin Magnus breaks 6'10" Nathan Jones arm at the 1995 WSM competition. Magnus would gain another 85 pounds or so throughout his strongman career.

From what I heard, he left as he found the travelling schedules exhausting and also had difficulty learning the scripts due to his dyslexia.
His strength in the ring was very impressive as you'd expect. He literally could toss opponents around like rag dolls.

It is, but strength and technique is the fatality.

I was just saying while jones is strong, Magnus has a far better track record and better lifts all around. So it doesn't suprise me that he wins this, he is stronger and better at it, hence fucking him up.

At that point were his lifts better? Obviously he went on to win the big one so was obviously the stronger man later on.
Used to love wsm, seems to have lost the personalities and camaraderie of the 80's and 90's, Much like boxing.

He's slimmed down a bit, but it's understandable, a few of the guys from that era have had health problems in the last few years, so many are dropping weight.

Nathan was simply an inexperience arm wrestler simply trying to use pure side pressure on Magnus.  Magnus as you can see was using a posting style toproll technique which the great John Brzenk demonstrates here.  He then let his arm get into the arm break position.
