Can you imagine the scandal it would be if photographs of the winner of the US Open (golf or tennis) surfaced showing that person sexually penetrating a piece of fruit? They would be the laughingstock of the whole world. Yet no one seems to think it strange in Greene's case. IMO, he should be forced to serve some type of suspension for conduct detrimental to the well-being of the sport. Doesn't the IFBB care at all about its image?

It's 2014, and bodybuilding isn't a sport for children, so please drop that hypocritical prude nonsense, they are athletes they don't owe you some image of moral perfection.
The gay thing is simple two issues.
A) Being able to relate to your target audience is key for marketing purposes. Your height, race, orientation, nationality, height, and bodyframe type all directly correlate to who's gonna be buying your shit. So it's a numbers game, you pick a narrow guy, a brit, a midget, bitch hips, black, bald or gay your gonna alienate a potential audience.
The trick is targeting the audience that can grow the sport. Each Mr O, had a fan base that directly correlates to one of those groups. The question is would a gay Mr O grow the sport? A gay jay cutler type likely not, however Kai has some dynamic qualities about him that I think could potentially grab a massive audience from the diversity folk. Our sport is one of freaks, targeting the champions of freaks LGBT, could potentially give a level of untouchable legitimacy that the classic era could only dream of.
B) The other potential issue which is far more serious, is the allegations that many BBers are pressured into G4P in order to get the level of sponsorship necessary to finance massive drug stacks. There's not much the IFBB can do about it once the issues arises.
