I was hunting with dad and grandfather in Louisiana by 9-10 but they only let me fire single shot weapons, so if there was a kick back there weren't any additional rounds going off at them or anyone else.

^^This.  Also, why a weapon that's obviously outside the norm for a 9 year old to learn on?  An Uzi?  A full auto Uzi?  How about a small.22 rifle from a sitting position?

It looks like the instructor was being "cute"...showing off for the parents or the cameras.  Either way he made the fundamental mistake of treating the gun like a toy.  I have zero sympathy for shit like this because it only hardens the anti-gun crowd.
