Avatars - how do I use it here?

What's up with the Avatars?  ... I can't figure out how to put mine in??     any help be appreciated   Thx!

tried that/many different ways (a photobucket upload link/uploading the pic from the computer)  resizing it numerous times/making it smaller and smaller....nothing is working?

Right click on the second pic you have, copy url, paste the url under "i have my own photo".........worked for me.
