Maybe the were already too deep with investors? I swear I recall reading that this movie had a ton of script issues and went through several rewrites. Funny that after all it still blows.

They have to make a movie every so many years or they lose the rights back to marvel. So, look for another reboot in a few years.

Cast had nothing to do it.  F4 doesn't work as a live action movie, just doesn't.  That's 3 failures now. Green Lantern, another one which is hard to translate to live action, will be tough for DC.  Either they will nail it with John Stewart or fuck up with another Ryan Reynolds comedy type casting.   

In this case the cast has a lot to do with this.  Just horrible

how long do you think they can hold on to that ageing cast? it wont be long before downey demands over 100mil a movie alone. The avengers in the comics is more than the 6 guys they have now, they're already introducing new characters so they wont need to be a reboot(war machine, black falcon, ms marvel, scarlet witch)

I guess Disney told the director Josh Trank to fuck off after the shitty job he did on Fantastic 4 , he wont be directing the spin-off Star Wars movie after all

This flick was a dud proposition from the get-go. It just doesn't work as a live-action movie. Then they attempt to reboot the fucker. Oh, brother. I like Kate Mara, sexually-speaking, but the whole deal is one big fail.

On a side note, this superhero movie bombardment is becoming truly psychotic.
