I'm 16 weeks out from my competition, i've cut my carbs in half and droped dairy, just wondering if i should start taking a calcium supplement, if so which is best or will the calcium supplement screw with the diet down too much?

Yes, you should supplement with calcium without question.

There are a million brands out there and they are all probably equally good. I buy the Twin lab calcium. You can get it or any other brand you want really, really cheap at www.dpsnutrition.com

Calcium will not screw up your diet at all. You should be at the point where you will/are cutting out all dairy and supplementation wil be the only way to get calcium into the system.

Anything besides Oyster Shell Calcium is decent.

Calcium Carbonate is on of the cheaper ones but still efficient
