I think Monday Night Football showed a short clip of him benching 700 earlier in the year. It was raw but I don't remember how much help his spotter gave him.

there were spotters, but no help. it seemed like hlaf the cowboy team was there to cheer him on.
no shirt. it was as clean a lift you can get for 700lbs raw.

I heard a story from his former teamate Mike Golic about Reggie white being challenged by a rookie who could not play but was an animal in the weight room. Supposely the guy did like 13 reps with 405 and Reggie did like 14 just for fun.

Reggie was arguably the best defensive end of all time. He was a great man too.

Reggie was not a big weight guy, but keep in mind that was the same man picked up Larry Allen with one arm and threw him about 2 feet in the air.

Did he not clean and jerk with like 380lbs in the jeep superstar many years ago and looked as if he han no idea about form.

no, he did a push press from the racks with 380 which is pretty damn good but he dipped his legs a good deal and it was far from easy, push presses are a hell of a lot easier than strict shoulder presses, i would REALLY doubt he did 13 reps with 405 on the bench, from the looks of him he would have had a tough time doing that many reps with 275 his arms were really small.

Larry Allen is one of the strongest players in the National Football league. His strength is almost super human, he's on par with some of the best powerlifters in the world.
To make fun of some guy because he looks heavy and wears a face mask is stupid.
This guy is a beast. Not everyone can bench 700 raw, you can also download the video if you think it's not true.

Larry Allen, a 400 pound lineman who can bench press 700 pounds was tossed like a tooth pick by Reggie White.

Some people on getbig immediately think gear but these guys are amoung the upper echelon genetically, there's only one Larry Allen and there's been only one Reggie White. These guys were beasts.. not some kids who take gear and troll getbig.

His arms weren't particularly small, it's just that his torso was thick as hell. He was naturally strong, not strength produced from time spent obsessing on workouts.

Football power's largely generated from the torso & lower body; arm strength is useful but very secondary. Arm size in football's partially ego.
