It shouldn't but it does. That is life. If Kai came in like Ronnie in 2003, they would have to give it to him, no choice. But, he doesn't have Ronnie's genetics. After this, Phil should realize that he made it by the skin of his teeth, and that he will have to come in bigger, better, and freakier to be a clear cut, no controversy winner over Kai. Which might mean more blurry abs, but freakier all over.
The problem for Kai and possible good for him as well, is that every Mr. O has had at least one controversial win. After that, they cemented their dominance, but at the same time continued to slowly deteriorate. Ronnie, Jay, Dorian...except for Haney. But, the controversial wins, usually were a sign of things to come. So, Phil needs to take this as a warning.
