The Schmoe mentality it based on desire for a fantasy version of oneself. Gay bodybuilders, like Bob Paris, are interested in having a romantic relationship with their equal. As opposed to heterosexual attraction which is about seeking out your compliment.
No offense taken here. Your observations regarding schmoes and bodybuilding are accurate but not all inclusive. There are as many different reasons for relationships as there are people who have them.
I'm with you regarding terms which are politically correct and ones which cross the line. a line that is constantly shifting. What really counts is whether the handle was meant to be derogatory or not.
When Nile DiMarco, recent 'Dancing With the Stars' winner, was asked about his sexual preferences, he responded that he is "sexually fluid." I like this description and intend to use it in the future if asked about my sexual preferences.
