The SEAL left after 16 years of service--four years short of partial pension--and complained that the military only found him some job in Michigan as a beer delivery guy.
On the one hand, the guy is a dumbass for not cruising for four more years. But on the other hand, is that really the best the military could do for him?
Could be that his shelf life was up.
Infanty in general, and SOF operators in particular, have a shelf life depending on their genetics. Years of humping heavy gear, running, extreme operatonal tempo, stress, and keeping their bodies and minds on the ragged edge takes a toll on the body. (Im not talking about BF % here).
Aftrr a while their bodies just break down.
Could be that his body was done, and he couldnt operate in the Team environment anymore, and he didnt like his options for staying in, so he got his walking papers and headed out.
