there's probably way more to it than we're hearing.  The biggest hero in the US military in 50 years - suddenly leaves military and goes public?   Doing a beer truck, inviting bad guys to "come and get it"?   No book to sell, no anything?  Quits suddenly just 4 years before 20 year retire?

I get all that, but don't you think he could have found some cushy job as an instructor or administration-type thing, just to cruise for another four years?  Maybe not his cup of tea, but that's much better than the alternative--in my opinion, of course.

yeah, he knows something we don't.  These guys FIGHT to keep pension - walking away with 4 years left to deliver beer?  I mean, MAYBE he walks away for a monster payday $ training dudes for a private security firm - IMO, that'd be the job to obtain following such a famous shoot.

'We do not abide willful or selfish disregard for our core values in return for public notoriety and financial gain, which only diminishes otherwise honorable service, courage and sacrifice,' said the letter dated October 31.

The strict code of humble anonymity represented a 'life-long commitment and obligation' and those who flouted it were no longer teammates 'in good standing,' it said.

The commander warned in the letter that 'we will actively seek judicial consequence for members who willfully violate the law' by revealing classified information
