A helpful hint on those is to only use one strap.

I learned this using two and getting choked during the beginning of a Light.


The guys did not like this one at all.

Over 100 pushups with a 40lb ruck?  Wow.

Tomorrow is over 100 ruck pull ups - backward stairs bear crawls up and down the stairs, Bas Rutten CD, etc.   We are really dialing it up this year

With 40 lb ruck

Pull Up Pyramid - 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1

In Between each set you walk down the stairs and back up with the 5 gallon water cans in each hand. 

The took 30 minutes or so. 

Bas Rutten All Around Fighting CD  (30 minutes) 

3 sets of

10 tire flips

20 medicine ball sit ups w 25lb medicine ball

10 partner shoulder holds.

Great one today!  w 40lb ruck. 

We used the peremiter of the gym, the basketball court, etc.   Set up stations - so it was like this - started on the air runner.  Each man carried a water can or kettlebell entire time

30 seconds on the air runner -

Walk to pull up station -  3 pull ups

Walk to corner of gym - 10 squats - 10 push ups - 10 sit ups

Walk to other corner - 5 8 count Bodybuilders - 10 ruck curl and press

Walk to stairs - up and down the stairs x 5

Walk inside Basketball court  - 2 x push the 150 lb sandbag on floor across floor,  2 x farmer carry with water cans, 2 times backward walk dragging 150 sandbag.

Walk to corner of gym - 10 squats, 10 pushups, 10 situps

Walk to corner we set up the sled, tire, and rope tied to 160lbs kettlebells - 6 tire flips, rope row the kettlebells, push prowler sled 50 yards.

Walk back to air runner - 3x  - 30 seconds jog/shuffle - 30 seconds plank.

Repeat for 60 minutes with zero rest. 

15 minutes then of easy core stuff.

Normal wamup - kang squat / hops / bands, skips

5 - 1000m runs @ 90%

6 x 3 weighted chin / super set landmine press

3 x 20 sit up

deload week continues

30 minutes of heavy DB complexes

60 minutes of HIIT w tires, burpees, assault bike, kettleswings, and situps w the medicine ball

Another great one today!  w 40lb ruck.  We had 3 guys for this.

Walk inside Basketball court  - 2 x push the 150 lb sandbag on floor across floor,  2 x farmer carry with water cans, 2 times bear crawl with carrying the 150 sandbag.

Walk to corner of gym - 10 squats, 10 pushups, 10 situps

Walk to corner we set up the tire, TRX, - 5 tire flips and step up,  TRX, then with ruck overhead - 10 squats, 10 lunges, 10 reverse lunges.

3 man "Tunnel of Love" across the turf - about 20 yards or so.

Repeat for 90 minutes with zero rest.

Yesterday, I ran a 5k then picked up the 80lb sandbag and carried it a quarter mile, mixing in 50 pushups.

Thought it would be easy, but for some reason, it wasn't.....maybe because I went from run right to it....no idea.

Adding the distance of the basketball court makes all of these things harder.

The HS basketball team in my town makes the kids have to do 10 up and backs on the court in under 2 min.  Just have to get a foot over the line.

Start with that tomorrow and let me know how it goes.

Tomorrow will be a lot lighter.   We have a few hot chicks early am who jump in for the Bas Rutten stuff.  We are doing that.   Core.  Probably jump rope - tires - etc

Hex DL 6 x 4 superset one leg box jump x 3 per leg (hard)

Weighted side planks x 3

3 circuit, 90 sec rest between:
57 sec sprint at 10mph on treadmil
8 burpee to lateral 20 inch box jump
KB snatch x 4 per side

This morning was terrible. 

For 75 minutes straight  - w 40lb ruck.  Repeat

3 Minutes as fast as can manage on stair climber and 20 ruck push ups

3 Minutes as fast as can manage on stair climber and 20 ruck sit ups

3 Minutes as fast as can manage on stair climber and 10 pullups w ruck on.

3 Minutes as fast as can manage on stair climber and 10 ruck curl and press

1 mile ruck in 15 minutes. 


90 Minutes overall and soaked.

Finally have the training partners now I've wanted for a long time.   Early am daily - they are all in and don't quit on themselves.

I miss this.  Wish I had a training partner.....one of the disadvantages of training at home.
