anti depressant consumption is exploding in the so called civilized, atheist world. People cant heal themselves anymore with spirtuality, family, individuals are lonely , atomized, they suffer so they need pills to feel happy. God is now in a pill. Shrinks are the new pastors and monks. Religions were natural anti depressants. Science , rationalism, destroyed this natural anti depressant and substituted it with another.
We probably are nearing the end of mankind, which is now dying of old age and becoming more and more childish and dumb, like a devolution.
This is classic romanticizing of the past.  Your analysis highlights a complete ignorance of what life has been like for most people on this planet since the dawn of time.  Today's quality of life far surpasses anything a human being could experience from the 18th century back to the beginning of time.  Anti-depressants, are just yet another way to ENHANCE ones quality of life, just another reason that makes modern life and it's myriad choices to create an unequaled quality of life that surpasses anything humans have ever known.  Just because many people today use anti-depressants doesn't mean that miserable people are a current phenomena.  Had anti-depressants been around 500 years ago nearly everyone would have been using them considering how miserable life was.

It is only just recently (the last few centuries) that the harshness and low quality of life has been elevated dramatically to what it is now.  Prior to these drastic changes human life was notoriously harsh, cruel and unforgiving for the majority of people. Life has never been better for so many people. Your comment probably reflects your own personal depression rather than any objective analysis of modern times.

And I don't know where you got the idea from that people could HEAL themselves with spirituality or family.  That is an absolute absurd notion. People have never been able to heal themselves with such things.  As a matter of fact many people in the past died agonizing deaths from all types of illness and disease that modern day people don't have to worry about because such fears have now been eliminated because of scientific and medical discoveries.  Science has proven the most effective method known to man in healing people, and today millions of people are treated and have their lives enhanced because of this.

well, if the CTers are correct about faked moon landing, staged this or that... Even if it all happened and NASA only faked some of those pics for *whatever reason*.

well, it's near impossible in the days of Google Moon and advanced telescopes, of reverse photoshop youtube heroes, to fake anything these days.

imagine the photoshop experts of today analyzing doctored moon landing pics and video (yes, some of the originals were certainly doctored, for whatever reason).  They'd poke holes in anything staged or faked.

Dude, you trolling or serious. I can't even tell anymore. ???

Are you serious?  It might be time for you to stop posting here and read a book or two and throw in a dummies book on history 101.  It might come as a surprise to you that recorded history begins with the accounts of the ancient world around the 4th millennium BC, and coincides with the invention of writing.
