The only purpose of gimmicks is to stir shit up or say things that you wouldn't want to say under your "real" handle.

i got accused of being a gimmick via pm. you guys do know this a great way to keep new blood of this forum? one thing if anything this forum needs is new posters. All successful forums need new posters....not eveyone who barely posts or new posters are gimmicks. great way to destroy a forum is have insular and afraid of gathering new members.  GREAT JOB GUYS

Ironically, the only reason I registered back in 2004 was because registration became mandatory. Before that, I posted as a "guest" for years.

Why the change to mandatory registration? Because there were too many gimmicks

Hence the quotes I put around the word "real". Nobody signs on the Getbig with their real name. That's why the notion of a gimmick is stupid. It just means that you need to be schizophrenic in the Getbig fantasy land.
