To be honest, whoever coined the  following phrase summed it up perfectly:

You can waste years of your life trying to understand them, but you won't. You need to accept the fact that we bug them just as much, but for different reasons.

It's all about finding somebody with a similar ethos in life and learning to let the negative things about them go. As long as they don't take the piss with you and vice versa you should be fine.

Me: Well, I do not do dinner on the first date. Just coffee or a few drinks. I figure if the women likes me enough, we can do dinner for a 2nd date.

Me: A lot of women will often use men for free dinner, especially women on dating sites.

That was the gist of our conversation.
