don't resort to name calling Donald

this isn't the board for that

if you cant discuss the intricacies of mma seriously

this isn't the forum for you
Since when did you decide anything.you come on a serious thread and write rubbish. This thread is about Budo in general. MMA has itīs roots in various systems. Apart from a 500lb Bench ::) what is your experience in any Martial arts?

great well thought out response Donald

perhaps you would like to tell us how the principles of "aiki"

translate in to a system applicable in a street fight

where forms and other variables are different from the gym?
look through some of my old posts.

If Mike Tyson shows respect to Gozo Shioda then i think this makes a big statement about Aikido.

He's just selling some bullshit is all. He knows it's nonsense, of course, but he also knows how stupid folks can be. This thread is proof. Thing is, these guys continue to do well even after they're exposed.

Generally speaking, we're a dumb species. 'Just tell me what I want to hear' while you rape my wallet. How else do you explain the success of herbal remedies and holistic medicines and all this mindless "organic" fuckery?

this isn't a trolling board Donald

do you have any knowledge

or do you just post youtube videos

I thought you said you were a black belt and a had a dan in judo

seems you resort to name calling everytime you post

bit pathetic

lets stick to the subject

why are there no aikido fighters in mma

how does it translate in to real life fights

this is your chance to shine Donald
well good to see you are reading my posts.

you are clearly incapable of forming a rational sentence

or formulating any sort of credible response to a reasonable question

except when you are reporting things to the mods

keep watching the videos in your karate pyjamas big guy  8)

I appreciate how it looks but someone has to be a relatively high level practitioner before it would be useful in a real self-defense situation. Until that point, it's more of a spiritual practice.

yes.. if you want the self defence aspect you need a system like wing chun. aikido as we know it today is a very watered down version of Daito Ryu Aiki jutsu. One system that is intresting is Tomiki Aikido which has a competition aspect to it as Tomiki Sensei was a very high graded Judoka. The founder of Aikido was a very religious man (Omoto kyo) religion which later changed his teachings of Budo.

a very advanced form in Judo.

This might look simple but is in fact a very hard Kata in advanced Judo. A Kata from the Kito Ryu Ju Jutsu. I Think this Kata shows how much Jigoro Kano respected Aiki .

Tomiki Sensei was a man off vision who combined Aiki with Judo.
