"Stand!"

Stand
In the end you'll still be you
One that's done all the things you set out to do
Stand

There's a cross for you to bear
Things to go through if you're going anywhere
Stand

For the things you know are right
It s the truth that the truth makes them so uptight
Stand

All the things you want are real
You have you to complete and there is no deal
Stand. stand, stand
Stand. stand, stand
Stand

You've been sitting much too long

There's a permanent crease in your right and wrong
Stand

There's a midget standing tall
And the giant beside him about to fall
Stand. stand, stand
Stand. stand, stand
Stand

They will try to make you crawl
And they know what you're saying makes sense and all
Stand

Don't you know that you are free
Well at least in your mind if you want to be

Everybody
Stand, stand, stand

US has freedom?...  and low taxes?

Absurd.

Thank you.  More laws and more citizens in prison THAN ANY COUNTRY IN THE WORLD. (We are also) Taxed daily on almost anything we do and taxed until death and then taxed after death (estate taxes) if you have anything after you die.

At 60.2%, Denmark last year had the highest top personal income tax rate among the 34 countries in the OECD, an organization of developed and emerging countries. And that 60.2% applied to income over roughly $55,000.

Can you at least looked up your facts before you just start saying stuff you don't know about

Denmark had the highest taxes in Europe and way way higher then the USA.. So 20 dollars an hour really comes down to about 10 bucks a hour after taxes and that's just state level taxes.

Merry Christmas Navy M. Hope you're well.

I never stated our (the US) taxes were as high or higher than Denmark. I simply declared that we (US citizens) are taxed every single day of our lives and even after we die. I also mentioned that the USA has more citizens in prison than ANY OTHER COUNTRY IN THE WORLD.

Really the only Europeans I've known were guys I used to work with who trained in Golds.  They voted with their feet in coming here to the U.S.

Idiot Americans like the one above always try to justify their shit country with stupid excuses. Freedom lol. Good one.

Correct. They have just about the same level of freedom than Europeans, but the society filled by police brutality, doomsday preppers, rioting neeguls and every kind of crap in multiple layers and wall to wall. For outsider it look like they have the freedom to be a utterly stupid, up to the levels which seem to be humanly impossible  ;D

This picture irritates me

It seems that for the sheer number of people that the American serves per day; he should be paid more.

I don't eat at fast food places. But I know that it's busy as hell there.

In theory this is great but who pays for it?
When will the socialists run out of ink, electricity or raw material to generate beautiful toilet paper?
Is a worker in a repetitive and boring job under or overpaid?
What about the wages of other people who are doing jobs that are not as easy to replace?

These low skill jobs will die out soon when machines are doing the jobs no "human" should be doing.

The United States had good conditions for the Middle Class for so long because of the foundation laid by Franklin Roosevelt’s New Deal.

The New Deal was a system regarding banking, labor, manufacturing, retailing, education, and other things, designed to cultivate a thriving middle class.

Then came the inflation of the late 1960’s and 70’s

This inflation was caused by a one two punch:

    • 1) Vietnam was not run as an all out effort, because they were nervous of escalation to a  possible nuclear exchange.
The result was that the Vietnam War became unpopular after 5 years because there was no conclusion in sight. So there was no move to have taxes at the level needed for the war effort.
    • 2) The run up of energy costs.

There was/is a cabal amongst the Right Wing in America who never liked the New Deal because it dissipated their power.
They seized upon the  inflation as a means to ascend in power and attack the New Deal.

They elected Reagan and  since then, have been slowly dismantling the things that have made the Middle Class thrive.  Nothing can “trickle down” if there are no holes in the percolator basket.
