I have two guesses on this one -
1) She was one of those "open carry" or "nearly open carry" types that just let a revolver sit on top of everything in her purse... minimal effort to hide it, allowing it to flash to "let everyone know she's not to be messed with".
2) She has shitty gun secure/safety practices... if that thing is in its holster, the trigger is never exposed.
