Marshawn Lynch fined $20,000

The NFL has fined Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch $20,000 for the obscene gesture he made after scoring a touchdown in Sunday's NFC Championship Game, according to an NFL official.

It could be just the start of what may be a costly Super Bowl week for Lynch.

The NFL is considering fining Lynch "significantly more" than the $50,000 it has fined him in each of the past two seasons for not speaking to the media, something Lynch again declined to do postgame Sunday, an NFL official said.

This is another issue that threatens to hang over Super Bowl week, with Lynch being required to speak to the media Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

An NFL official said there would be increasing fines for each session Lynch misses, with each fine being more than the two $50,000 fines already imposed and the upcoming fine that is expected soon.

As of now, the NFL and the Seahawks are in discussions about the best way to handle Lynch.

the dick grabbing was directly probably to the NFL League office and Roger Goodell for not allowing Lynch to rock his GOLD Cleats against the packers

Loving this latest conspiracy theory...

"Pats were already favored to beat the Colts.  Maybe the Colts found a way to deflate the balls, in order to discredit the Pats"

LMAO... the Colts were the ones that filed a complaint with the league and asked them to take a close look at the balls lol.

It is a well known fact that steroids lead to deflated balls.

Lynch refused to talk to the media on Media Day.   Just over and over "I'm here so I dont get fined".

Part of being an NFL player is doing interviews, growing the sport, talking to the fans.  Lynch is a weird case... grabbing penis on field, refusing to give the fans any interviews to watch.  Will be interesting to see how free agency goes for him.

There's a prop bet of whether or not he will do this gesture during the super bowl.....pays 4-1.....first he has to score.....I think he will.....

On a side note, I agree that they do have the coolest looking uniforms in the NFL.

Hope both fuckers lose.  Annoying how both teams are so unlikable.  Don't want to see smug ass Sherman holding the superbowl and don't want to see smug ass Belicheck holding it either.  I'll watch the game then turn it off before the trophy presentation.

Patriots 37
Seattle 30

I see the Pats winning as well.  They have a better offense than Seattle and a solid defense backfield.  People want to say Lynch is amazing but he gets most of his yards late in games.  Pats won't blow a 17 point lead like the Packers did.
