coming from you, i must be doing alright.

reading wikipedia and watching youtube is not a substitute for a brain.

No really, clueless, as in doesn't even understand the meaning of a word, yet is moronic enough to proceed to expand upon it's meaning in a public forum.  Actually, ignorant may be a better term for you.

This isn't a matter of intelligence, it's a matter of spirituality, that of which these people don't have.  They're not going to think their way out of this or disprove God.  People have been trying to do this for a long time and no one has come close and never will. They can take their calcified pineal glands, theories with no proof and arguments void of any evidence and go to hell and they're well on their way.

You can nurse their pineals back to good working order. Funny, theories with no proof and arguments void of evidence.....sounds familiar.

I'm more in the Falcon camp: it's an kind of energy. None of this religious bullshit though. Believing some crap a bunch of hebrews said 2000 years ago is just plain stupid.

Out of sheer curiousity, Nirvana is the same as the kingdom of which god(s)?

No one here is a physicist so how would any of you know what you are talking about?
So are all the believers who cry at funerals.

X2. I always say this. This is proof that they don't truly believe in God and heaven.  :-\

Why does a guy who gets dumped by a girl feel terrible, if there are many other single women available?

It's just a natural human reaction to feel grief at a loss.

sure.

i was just explaining to the meathead what the other meathead meant.

the true story is we are animals and only the strongest survive. We will adapt until we cant anymore and will disapear just like any other animal or vegetal specie .Til then, we ll fight each others to death for limited ressources. That's "life"'. The weakest disapear faster than the more adapted, strongest. But make no mistake in the end we will ALL disapear. Life is a cruel game.

I prefer Carrier to the Bible and other made up stories. Good riddance to all religions.

Eventually, the true story will be known and religions will be seen as historical curiosities.

The trouble is that most humans would rather die than abandon their cherished beliefs.

That is very sad. So are all the believers who cry at funerals.

Today's Creation Moment
James Clerk Maxwell
1 Corinthians 2:5
“That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.” Albert Einstein said that James Clerk Maxwell made greater contributions to physics than anyone except Isaac Newton.
Maxwell developed complex theoretical and mathematical explanations for all the forces in the universe except gravity and nuclear forces. He also made scientific contributions in the fields of thermodynamics and mathematics. In other words, Maxwell was a scientist of gigantic proportions who remains greatly respected today.
By today’s standards, Maxwell would be called a “fundamentalist.” Maxwell lived at the same time as Charles Darwin and was very aware of evolutionary theory. He felt strongly that evolution was anti scientific and wrote a powerful and important refutation of evolutionary writings. He also offered a very careful mathematical refutation of the theory that the solar system had evolved from a cloud of dust and gas.
The great scientist Maxwell believed that Jesus Christ is the Savior that God has provided to deliver humanity from the results of sin – including eternal death. A writing of his, found after his death, states that the motivation for his work was that God had created all things just as Genesis says. And since God has created humans in His image, scientific study is a fit activity for one’s lifework.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I pray today for the work of those in science who are convinced that You are indeed the Creator as described in Genesis. Though they are opposed by men, bless their work and move more of our Christian young people to follow in their footsteps. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

yeah well when his writings can explain how a human can be dead one minute and undead the next, then you have something.

Today's Creation Moment
Sir Isaac Newton
Proverbs 2:6
“For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.” If Isaac Newton or someone else had never made the discoveries Newton made, our world would be very different today. He is one of the most important scientists in all of history. What many people don’t know is that this great scientist was a creationist. He actually wrote more Bible commentaries than he did scientific papers.
Newton is best known for his discoveries of the law of universal gravitation and the three laws of motion. Newton also built the first reflecting telescope, and he developed calculus into the branch of mathematics it is today. He also researched the nature of light and explained how white light is made up of many different colors.
Newton was an avid student of the Bible and wrote papers defending Bishop Ussher’s dating of the earth at about 6,000 years. He also defended the literal six day creation. Although Newton did not personally accept the doctrine of the Trinity, he did take on the atheists of his day, offering strong defenses for the biblical view of history. He was one of the first creation scientists to suggest that most of the sedimentary rocks of the earth are the result of the Genesis Flood.
Next time you hear someone say that science and the Bible don’t mix, think of Sir Isaac Newton.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, give me a mind which seeks to be closer to You and to learn more about how You have made all things. Though I may not have the understanding of some scientists, I desire more reason to praise You. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

What a pathetic lot religious people are. They are forever looking for supporters and latch onto any religious scientists to bolster their nonsense.

If any God existed it wouldn't need the likes of Harrigan to vouch for it. There would be no mystery, etc.

What we see here is a failure to communicate between that fictional entity and the hapless ignoramuses who pray to it.

Remember, believing something, no matter how intently or seriously, doesn't make it true.

Preachers like Harrigan are more annoying than the clang of heavy dumbbells in the weight room!

No, the explanation is not that at all. We evolved those feelings. In other words, when we get dumped our unconscious brains tell us to get the partner back and have children with her.

The separation results in pain that a substitute won't relieve....you literally do not want anyone else.  Couples who had strong feelings like this had a better chance of having their children survive and thus the hard wiring of those separation blues

when we get rejected by a loved one.

A metaphor if you please.

I am not come to make you wear the same shoes as I, neither would I force you to wear shoes at all.   My shoes are meant to carry me through my life and give me the strength and ability to traverse that life no matter the conditions that lie ahead.

They can support more than one but only if asked.   Gladly will I share them but never would I force them upon you.

Now to address the stupidity of one that needs no shoes but most definitely requires a "re-souling" if you will.

Vince, quit being an ass.   I have no "religion" but rather faith in Christ and as weak as it is at times still it is a comfort to me.  For goodness sake, it sounds like you should be one of those hilarious atheists in those photos accompanied by their (supposed) reasoning behind their not believing in God.  You know...  The man that prayed for a girlfriend and didn't get one so he now says there is no God.

Yours will be about something far more important and heart wrenching.  No Blue Stars.  Consider this a lesson in life, not faith.

Be well.

That is nice for you but has nothing to do with the truth. Christianity is a sham and what a shame because

so many have invested hugely in that dogma. So what if you have faith? That is merely pretending to know

something that you don't know so cut the preaching. Delusional organization those religions.
