I still can't believe Eli has two Superbowls and beat the Patriots to do it.

That was the pre-Darrelle Revis Patriots. That's not happening as long as Revis Island is in the Pats' secondary.

Doesn't baffle me.  Strong defense rattled Brady and limited scoring.  Eli made two incredible plays.

Seemed like the blue print for this past SB, but the Pats were able to get into the red zone more often this time around, then were handed a SB win on a platter when they should have lost.

Tom Brady best QB ever.

Bill Belichick best Coach ever.

Mark it down in your book of facts.

And they took the trophy with 100% class. Think of what most people would say after they won, after the year (and last month) those guys had. Not one bad thing to say about the league, hawks, espn haters...zip.

In case you doubted it - Now we have reports from inside the seahawks that Caroll CHANGED the original second down play of "lynch run it in" for marketing purposes.   Caroll is denying it, but...

Sure, some are "dumb".  But some are true.  Seems to be a lot behind this one, and many voices inside the locker room, inside the NFL Network are being very vocal about it.

Usually, conspiracy theorists are repeated by tinfoil idiots.  In this case, the Super Bowl was 30 hours ago, and some seriously credibly football people are saying the play was changed at the last second by Caroll - for marketing purposes.

"We live on a flat earth" used to be a conspiracy theory too.

The call was just so monumentally bad people can't wrap their heads around why it was made, so they're coming up with crazy shit.

"There was not a thought about running it, and then I changed the play," Carroll said Monday. "That did not happen." ~ Carroll

It is possible that Carroll remembered how a near-goaline TD pass ended the 1st half.... and he was confident that another TD pass would end the game

http://www.thenation.com/blog/196697/conspiracy-theory-surrounding-seahawks-last-play#

We now have a laundry list of reasons why Caroll/Seahawks/NFL would benefit from the ball being in Wilson's hand for the winning play, not Lynch's.

Sometimes, conspiracy theories are real.  Caroll could release the recording from his headset, the last 60 seconds of the game and clear this all up.  Will he?  ;)

On a non-conspiracy note...Brady is giving his MVP truck to Butler.

Very cool, but he should give it to Carroll.

Brady is suffering from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Survivor_guilt   ;D

Survivor guilt (or survivor's guilt; also called survivor syndrome or survivor's syndrome) is a mental condition that occurs when a person perceives themselves to have done wrong by surviving a traumatic event when others did not. It may be found among survivors of combat, natural disasters, epidemics, among the friends and family of those who have died by suicide, and in non-mortal situations such as among those whose colleagues are laid off. The experience and manifestation of survivor's guilt will depend on an individual's psychological profile. When the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders IV (DSM-IV) was published, survivor guilt was removed as a recognized specific diagnosis, and redefined as a significant symptom of post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Yet, in the final minute, they were in position to lose, and would have without what's now considered the biggest coaching blunder in NFL history.

everyone seems to think inside the 5 is an automatic TD I can show you a lot of teams that got inside the 5 and had to settle for 3 or 0

They were on the one.  It's not automatic, but when you have possibly the best short yard back in the game, and one of the most mobile QBs, it's as close to automatic as you can get.  If it were another team, sure.  But it wasn't.  They were built for this situation, and had the entire season on the line for it, but didn't utilize it.
