Great question.....made me think. NO, that is, unless I could also choose my DNA. I would have died 3 times from pneumonia without antibiotics. I would have died from my colon aneurism. I would have died 2 times from my Melanoma cancer. I would have been crippled from my splintered femur.

I am here typing this thanks to modern medicine.

Do we want to know about that colon aneurism? ;D

Depends.  Only white males would wish they lived in the past.

Like 1865 American west?  Or Rome in it's glory days? Or in times before things were written down.  Or would you choose the future 1000 years from now?

1865's all fun and games until you get an infection, leeches are applied and your leg's cut off with a rusty saw.

Interesting thought.  Hopefully the Muslim situation will be handled by then.

the past? fuck that for a game of soldiers! 500 or so years in the future would be alright for me. the advancement in technology will be mind blowing.

Woody Allen said it best.  He'd like to live in any era after the invention of Penicillin.

1960's America, damn I heard some REAL stories from people who lived the decade (including my uncle!) and it was absolutely CRAZY...
Yeah, he had to go to serve in Vietnam for 2 years, but the SEX stories from that era are just EPIC EPIC stuff!!!!

People will be living in mud huts.  The world we live in today will be considered legend,  our technology magic.  Men will tell stories around campfires about the time gods walked the earth and flew to the stars on wings of fire

People don't understand how brutal the past was - people were lucky to live past their teens - no thanks

Browse a historic cemetery some time.  One that has graves from the 19Th to early 20Th Century.  You will be amazed at the number of children's graves.  A large number of people under 40 too.

In Houston a good one is the Historic Hollywood Cemetery at the corner of North Main and Interstate 45.

and the golden age of suicide too... white people , mostly atheists, dont reproduce and kill themselves at an alarming but steady rate even if it's mostly ignored by the medias. The planet will be flooded by third worlders led by the surviving, remaning few hyper riches of all origins.

Muslims will access nuclear weapons once they ve replaced atheist whiteys in europe. Then there will probably be a nuclear war between chinese and muslims. Survivors will live underground and evolve to become roswell like creatures.

Agreed, just seems to me that we truly live in the times of big brother.
