No SH appreciation thread is complete without his right hand man, Tariq "Run D.M." Aziz.  I remember ole' TA telling the press there were no American Tanks in Iraq while one was rollin in right behind him. ;D
Yes, his late career switch from dictator mouthpiece to Team Nasser spokesman was also under-appreciated.

He is still alive...and the world isn't a nicer place.

They should not have killed a learned civilized gentleman such as Saddam.

He was a savage and that's all those camel milers know: savagery. At least he was consistent and didn't fuck with the west. But our government doesn't care. It's not their kids fighting and dying. If anything it give the population a new boogie man to focus on while they rape us.

They came very close to giving him Gaddafi treatment. ISIS would have ruled all of Syria by now and potentially accessed planes and chemicals....now that would be fun.

Some times I think all these countries need a brutal dictator to keep everyone in line. Savages only respect violence.

It's exactly what they need. Saddam had Iraq under control and the country was extremely safe. People need to understand the Middle East is not the west, it can't be run like murica.

Fucker got greedy.. it all went down hill for him when he decided to invade Kuwait..
Idiot was told not to.. didn't listen...
USA didn't give a shit what Saddam was doing..
Until he invaded Kuwait and scared his neighbors to think they were next..
Saudi Arabia got scared asked for US government help.

It was more than that.  He was trying to convince Arab nations to adopt the Euro for oil instead of the US dollar.  If he succeeded the US dollar would have collapsed.
