A little unsubstantuated background story seems to be necessar here regarding Jayne Mansfield ...
The Church of Satan was established as the Black House in San Francisco, California and a guy by the name of Anton Szandor LaVey, was the church's High Priest until his death in 1997.
AND HERE IS THE REST OF THE STORY ….
A friend of mine who was a cop responded to a neighbor’s omplaint about some disturbance emmanating from that Black House.
So this cop responded by knocking on the front door and one of the individuals who opened that front door was a very polite Jayne Mansfield who invited him in after stating that they wee holding some kind of meeting/service.
My friend, the cop, simply asked if they would hold the noise down as the next door neighbors were complaining and that his response was necessary.
Upon saying that ... he departed with a big surprise that Jayne Mansfield was involved in that ‘service’.
Soon after … It was reported that Jayne had been decapitaded in an automobile accident.
But according to others, it was he wig that had been thrown off her head during the accident and that only her cranium had been sliced from about 2 inched above her eyebrows.
A strange part of this story is that during that period of time many people believed that the devil took his favorites by decapitation.
So that decapitation grew and drew a lot of interest and sold magazines, etc,., etc.
But it was only her blond wig and not her entire head from the neck up.
Only the top of her head from two inches above her eyebrows.
And that's enough to kill ya.
