I think after the 96 Olympia he must've taken some time off. He competed in the Grand Prixs after the 96 O but placed pretty low 4th and 5th - relative to his typical placings where he usuallywon or took 2nd. Then by the 97 Arnold, which is the first big show after the 96 Grand Prix tour, he looked smoother and smaller than ever. But by late 97 at the Olympia and subsequent Grand Prixs he was back to form, taking 1st and 2nd again.
