Yeah right  ::) ::) ::)

I really feel sorry for you  :'(

1950 was long long time ago , today is 2015  :D

Agreed. The whole idea of America being the greatest country is a myth. 50 years ago, maybe. Not today.

By and large nobody cares about your irrelevant country, Teutonic Knight.

Look at the front page of the G&O and the topics.

How many are pertaining to YOUR country?

How many are pertaining to the United States?

If you want to be fake and pretend otherwise go ahead but to me it seems pretty obvious.

Its true. As stated above, 50 years ago, it may have been the case. Not any more. America has plummeted fast. Of course its still one of the top countries, but it no longer has such a stronghold as it used to have.

Which country is the top dog now in your opinion?

That is hard to say because I guess it depends how you would define a country being on top. There are many factors.

However, it appears that America is not what it used to be. Either that, or other country have improved their situation.

Or maybe I am entirely wrong.

To be honest, Im pretty much on this earth just waiting to die.  :D :D

At the end of the day every person who logs into this forum day in and day out are mostly talking American issues.

That in itself speaks volumes.

I've heard Taiwan is a beautiful place, althought it's only 36000 km2. Japan seems great too.

Metric system is easy as pie. Never understood why America uses both so it's a valid question even if the OP is a gimmick.

It's never made sense to me...as someone mentioned earlier, it's even more frustrating working with tools...my Jeep is a mix of imperial, metric, and torx fittings..

I'm not a gimmick...this is the only place I've heard of such things.

Then ask your industrial supply for a 6.746875mm drill.  Or a 12.7mm bolt with 0.7874015748031496062992 125984252 threads per millimeter.

Those who boast about the rumored demise of the USA sure seem interested enough in the measurement systems we choose to utilize.

just do a search for most livable cities around the world.

plenty of surveys done and objective ratings/scores.

the US doesnt fare too well. It's pretty clear what cities and countries do after looking at the results.

IF the US was the best country in the world, it'd have a number of cities in the top 10 or 20 in each study. from what I've seen, it rarely cracks the top 50.

That's because cities in the USA have large populations of blacks and hispanics, who ruin the quality of life in major cities.

America was found on the principles of body building. The founding fathers had a shit bench in kilos... enter pounds.
Unative American engineers, also known as  electrical Indians, where in charge of the other units - without hesitation and education they made things up as they went along.

And lets not forget Einstein with his epic illuminus

f = 9/5 * c + 32   :o
