“Top Gear” is a confluence of the talents of  Executive Producer Andy Wilman and on air talents Clarkson, Hammond, and Mays.

If you want to have a show with the same feeling at another production house, you need all four, with maybe some of the writers hired away as well.

Well clearly not you.

As Bigmc said from a business profit point of view
It's a huge £ spinner for the bbc & an estimated 400million watch
It world wide.

I would think it's a safe bet to say that quite a few people give a Fcuk.

I see ITV, Sky and Ch4 have all shut the door on Clarkson too.

Is that from solidarity with the BBC, the fact he is an absolute whopper - or the fact he punched a co-worker and was fired from his last job ?

Meanwhile the producer has also walked. A life-long school buddy of Clarkson.

Somehow I dont think May and Hammond will be so quick to bolt for the door, they are on cushy numbers - and if they bring in a good replacement, it could breathe new life into the tired show.

Personally, I find it quite boring to watch. Bland, middle-class tossers driving ridiculously expensive (for what they are) super cars. It was worth a watch years ago, but other TV shows have left them for dust.

Stick a fork in it, it's done.

Hammond and May might as well walk too. If the show's going to survive it needs a complete revamp as it just won't work with May, Hammond + A N Other. It was getting rather tiresome as it was.

Interesting - I would have thought one of them would have snapped him up - like him or not the guy's a guaranteed money-spinner and they love him abroad, that's why they've been able to sell the show to so many different countries.

Thing is nevertheless, Top Gear as a whole was better than the sum of its parts, May and Hammond were good too and they were a good team. With one of them gone it makes no sense to keep the other two either and the appeal isn't going to be there.

But yes, Top Gear this season was crap - it got too serious and had reverted back to a boring car review show - ever since the events of Argentina/Falklands issue with the car number plates they basically had to tone it down as they were too scared of upsetting any more people.

I'd like to see  May,Hammond & clarkson all move to another TV network.
Getting the right name for the show would be important.

Any suggestions.
