OMR consistently sounding like one of the smarter posters on GetBig.

Only he didn't mention Kanye, who many label a "genius".

Give me a break.  He's lucky Beck isn't a badass who kicked his ass off the stage.

He's been competitive in national level show Howard, and he wasn't lost in the sea of competitors as you would like to say.

I get your point but you're failing to realize this generation do sent care about bodybuilding,  they want to be lean and big, aka look good. For example look at the amount of idiots who pump their upper bodies full of oil, all show.

I know men in their mid 30's who adore Piana because he's big and lean, these guys buy his sups thinking there's something to them because old Rich is a "straight shooter".

His resume and credentials are obvious.  It's just not our cup of tea.

Ok he may not have gotten lost in the line up, but how did he actually place?

Oh well, it really doesn't matter.
Rich may end up making a lot more $$$ then I ever will.
Plus, a lot more people would seek his bodybuilding advice then me, so wtf.

I like Rich and maybe an  old fart like me doesn't "get him". Who gives a fuk what I think anyway.

If you do it right any gym rat or someone with a slightly thicker than a swimmers build can get internet famous through social media. This xyzzy dude is (was nothing but the second thing I discribed but yet kids fell for his BS. Look at Genova for Gods sake. I mean, really?

Rich is one of these guys on that looks even bigger in person.  He came to my gym before here.  Kinda nuts, considering Coach is a big guy himself (horizontally not vertically :-D ) and Rich has a significant amount of size over him.

Cool pic Coach

Haha, nah. Got the pic and went about my business. His buddy (the big Mexican dude, Jake I think his name is) was doing the bench part of the meet. He got I think a 550 and missed 565. Strong lift though. Pretty sure Chad Wesley Smith take his class easily.

How much did these guys weigh? My best was 505 with a 530 fail at 198.  I was chasing Mike MacDonald to no avail back in the olden days before crazy shirts.

Not sure what class he was but my guess was AT least 262. I'm 225 and got 410 this week with a messed up radial nerve. But again, his was raw so not really that bad.

Not sure about the height but I'm sure the "IQ" trumps yours. Like an IQ test makes a difference. Lol

Mike and I were friends. Legendary bench presser. Bought two of his earliest cambered bars for our power gym. Bought LOTS of his glandular too.  :D  They worked- or maybe it was the 100mgs daily of Dianabol I was taking?

Exactly. When you have enough stupid teenagers believing in this 5% bullshit, you don't need to have any credentials. You just need to ensure that the people you're marketing to are naive (teenagers, hardcore gym rats). Rich Piani would not survive 5 minutes on Wall Street or in the real corporate world.

But I guess good for him for targeting a naive population and selling himself!

This naivity is spread like a deases all over the world in all categories, not just stupid teenagers in the gym.

Expensive food, cheap food, shit food, wine, wiskey, clothes, schampoo, sneakers, makeup, hairshit, just EVERYTHING on the market is 99% bullshit!

And what the hell is this 5% shit, what does it mean?

I like Rich.  He is living proof that all the morons that say anyone can become a pro if they take huge dosages of gear and train halfway hard with even subpar genetics are full of shit.

Ask yourself, what percentage of people are out there actually doing whatever it takes to fulfill their dreams, to accomplish their goals, and to live the type of life they want to live?

That Is Where The 5% Comes In
You may be more familiar with the 95% of people that start and never finish. The goal was too hard, seemed too impossible to achieve, and felt like their goal was too far to reach. Maybe it is too hard, too impossible, and too far out of reach; that doesn’t stop the 5%er!

5% Is Not Just A Number Applicable To Fitness
It applies to ALL areas of life; finances and business, the pursuit of happiness and freedom, family, sports, a way of life, education, personal development, etc. Of course it’s not an easy path to take, that is why only 5% of people accept the challenge
Ask yourself, what percentage of people are out there actually doing whatever it takes to fulfill their dreams, to accomplish their goals, and to live the type of life they want to live?

If Rich is 295lbs, as he claims, how fucking small does that make Coach?  Rich looks like he has 150lbs on Coach in that picture.
...Maybe PMMA is lighter than water?  We know that oil is lighter than water, haha...

He hasn't logged in for over 8 years though. This was Rich pre-PMMA.

Perhaps if he stayed here, Getbig's resident psychologists like uberman would have cured him of his mental disorders.

You could honestly make the claim that coach looks like he never lifted a weight in his life, in that pic with Piana.

All those years of lifting (with roids) and now a "strength and conditioning coach", and he could pass for stocky dude who works in a pizzeria.

IF you walk into a pizzeria, and you see a stocky italian guy, you know you're going to get a good slice of pizza.

When Rich's ex came on here and started shit talking him, the guy remained cool as hell.  Never did he bad mouth her, act like a jerk or anything.  He seems like a nice guy, a big liar about his "muscles" but still a nice guy.

I think Rich is a really cool guy and he's 100% right about social media being the ticket to $$ success in the modern fitness industry.

What bugs me is that he never won any bodybuilding contest of substance and has no academic credentials or certifications.
Yet, because of social media people think he's something .

Doom agrees!  Bah!
